I always knew I wanted to help people since I was very young. As I got to my teenage years, I figured the best way to accomplish this was to become a doctor. When I was in high school, I volunteered to be a candy striper at local Philadelphia suburban hospital. My job was to take patients to radiology for their x-rays and I loved being part of a team. Volunteering was a very rewarding experience and motivated me to work very hard in school.
During my college years, I was able to do an internship for a dentist and that solidified my dedication to the field. I found a motivation as to how I would contribute to my community. Several members of my family are in dentistry, but now I would take those traditions and forge my own path. I was very fortunate to have been accepted to Temple University School of Dentistry out of thousands of applicants.
